What to expect from a yoga class.
The practice of moving mindfully, with the breath as your guide, brings profound benefits to body and mind. As your body starts to move more freely, tension can begin to melt, leaving you feeling lighter, brighter and with renewed energy. If you're working through an injury, our yoga can help you become stronger in a safe, accessible way as you begin to feel more mobile and rebuild trust in your body.
During every class, we work with the breath, helping to reduce physical and mental tension and promoting a deep sense of calm.
What are the benefits of yoga?
Questions you might have about our yoga classes.
-
No, classes are suitable for all levels and abilities. As long as you can get up and down from the floor, you will be able to participate fully in the class. Modifications are given, so the class can be scaled to meet your body where it’s at, on any given day.
-
That’s the perfect reason TO join! A regular practice will help you to become more mobile, stronger and to move with more ease.
-
It is very loosely yoga postures, but we do not follow any lineage and there is no obvious spiritual or eastern reference.
I would describe the classes as flowing, considered movements sequences designed to build strength and improve mobility; embodiment practices to deepen body awareness, reconnect and move out of pain; breathing practice to release tension, create lightness in the body, connect to the deep core and soothe stress levels; and deep rest to digest and process any changes. All of these are intended to help people to move with more ease, reduce tension and feel calmer.

No, all equipment you will need is provided. The only thing you might want to bring is a bottle of water to sip during the class.
“Louisa is a lovely teacher. She is so thorough and always helps with answering questions. It was so nice that she sent info after the class about a product that would be useful. Fab venue!”
