Restore Your Core® :
A 6-Week Course
Restore Your Core® is a comprehensive, whole-body exercise programme designed to help anyone with core issues.
Who is this course for?
Combining yoga and Pilates-based exercises with tailored breath work, Restore Your Core® aims to help you regain strength, restore function and move with a new level of awareness, so your core and pelvic floor can be responsive and functional. Often people join the course who are experiencing things like:
-
Diastasis-recti is when the muscles of the abdominal wall separate, leaving the connective tissue compromised and the core vulnerable.
-
With one in three women experiencing pelvic floor dysfunction, we are often told to live with it. It doesn’t have to be this way.
-
Birth injuries, postural issues, back pain and a weak pelvic floor can leave you feeling uncomfortable and unsure where to turn to get support.
-
Back pain, pelvic girdle pain, sacro-illiac dysfunction and spine tension can be improve with targeted, intentional movement
-
Excessive tension in the pelvic muscles can make sex painful and uncomfortable. Learning how to release tension from your pelvic floor can support your entire structure.
-
Stress incontinence can leave you feeling afraid to try physical activity, which can take a toll on your whole body.
With a new level of whole-body awareness, you will be able to safely and slowly return to the activities you love, whether running after your children, or running a marathon.
How does it work?
Restore Your Core® courses run 4-5 times during the year as a 6-week, live course either at Move Well, Sicklinghall, or online via Zoom. During the course we will work through a series of progressive exercises and flowing sequences to improve whole-body strength, mobility and function.
The live course includes:
guidance and feedback from me as we move through the live exercises together;
a 3-day recording of the live class, in case you want to recap or review any of the exercises;
weekly homework videos to work through in your own time, and long after the course has ended;
information to educate, empower and help you reconnect to your body;
a supportive WhatsApp group where you can ask questions or share observations with fellow course participants, and with me;
one free place in the weekly Core & More ‘next stage’ class.

About Your Teacher Louisa
After the birth of my first child, I was diagnosed with diastasis recti, a separation of the abdominal muscles that left me feeling frustrated and helpless. Core exercises seemed to make it worse, and the advice I received ranged from surgery being my only option to dismissals that it was “just part of being a mother.”
I realised that repairing my core required more than isolated exercises.
As a movement teacher, I felt lost and afraid to move, mourning my pre-baby body. Determined to heal, I began exploring post-natal recovery and discovered the transformative work of biomechanic Katy Bowman, who emphasised alignment and whole-body movement as the foundation for healing.
I realised that repairing my core required more than isolated exercises. By addressing my posture, breathing, and overall alignment, I started seeing incredible changes. My belly flattened, my pelvis stabilised, and my whole body felt strong for the first time in years. Then, while still on this journey, I discovered I was pregnant with my third child. Determined to maintain my progress, I found Lauren Ohayon’s Restore Your Core® (RYC) programme, which offered safe and effective guidance throughout my pregnancy. After a beautiful birth, I resumed the programme and was amazed at how quickly I felt strong, stable, and connected to my body again.
One year later, my diastasis had closed, my core was stronger than ever, and I could move with confidence and joy. Inspired by my own transformation, I became one of the first RYC-certified teachers in 2017 and went on to work as Director of Education for RYC®, supporting a global team of more than 200 RYC® teachers. RYC® changed my life, and I’m passionate about helping others experience the same journey to whole-body health and wellness.
